The Maryland Association of Local Management Boards is committed to advocating for policies and resources that improve outcomes for children, youth, and families across the state. We work closely with state lawmakers, local leaders, and community partners to promote equitable solutions that address complex social challenges and create lasting change.
Our advocacy efforts are focused on ensuring that Local Management Boards (LMBs) have the tools, funding, and support necessary to meet the needs of Maryland’s most vulnerable residents.
MALMB engages in year-round advocacy, building relationships with policymakers and mobilizing community stakeholders to amplify our priorities. Through public testimony, policy briefings, and direct engagement with lawmakers, we ensure that the voices of our communities are heard at every level of decision-making.
Join us in advocating for policies that strengthen Maryland’s families and communities. Contact your local legislators and elected officials and make your voice heard on issues critical to supporting children and families in our communities, and contact the Local Management Board for your community for more information on how to get involved and support the work. Together, we can create a stronger, healthier Maryland for all.
LMBs are committed to collaborating with state and local partners to make systems equitable and effective for children, youth and families.
Each county operates an LMB to ensure the implementation of a local interagency service delivery system for children, youth, and families. We are neutral conveners bringing diverse voices together and work where families and children live and where they receive services.
